About us

The Centre for Research on the Application of International Law in Cyberspace "Lodz Cyber Hub" (LCH) has operated at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź since 1 June 2021 (§ 10 of the University's Organisational Regulations of 1 October 2019). It is funded under the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme (IDUB, agreement no. 13/IDUB/DOC/2021) and from external sources.

We conduct interdisciplinary research combining public international law, international relations and multistakeholder governance, with a particular focus on internet governance.

We support decision-making and build knowledge in the area of the information society:

  • the application of international law in cyberspace,
  • cybersecurity and the fight against cybercrime,
  • the protection of human rights, including privacy and personal data, freedom of expression, platform liability and new media law.

We carry out projects supporting lifelong learning, deliver professional training and offer advice tailored to the needs of institutions and stakeholders.

The Centre is directed by Dr Joanna Kulesza.
