Partner Meeting under the International SkillsPULSE Project

Yet another partner meeting as part of the international SkillsPULSE project was held at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz on 3-4 June 2025. The event was attended by scientists, experts and stakeholders from the field of the labour market and social policy.

During the two-day meeting the project’s progress was discussed and the next steps were planned. The meeting culminated in a research seminar on “Skill Signals: Using Online Job Ads and Big Data to Identify Skills Shortages and Gaps”. The seminar was held in hybrid mode.

The event gathered researchers and stakeholders involved in labour market analysis and data-driven policymaking. The seminar, among other things, featured papers on the following topics:

  • Skill gap and shortage analyses using Revelio/LinkedIn data (SkiLMeeT project).
  • Skill needs in the AI era (SkiLMeeT project)
  • Skill profiling in software engineering using machine learning (SKILLAB project)
  • Skill changes and mismatches in the labour market based on online job offers (TRAILS project)
  • SkillsPULSE approach to identify skill gaps and shortages

The meeting concluded with a panel discussion with the participation of Polish stakeholders.
