The position of university professor, introduced by the Law on Higher Education and Science of 2018, may be held by an academic teacher with at least a doctoral degree and significant scientific, artistic, didactic or professional achievements, while employment as a professor at an institute requires at least a postdoctoral degree.

Implementation of tasks resulting from § 99 and 100 of the Statute of the University of Lodz , including : - managing the Department and representing it externally ; - supporting , developing research projects ; - supporting research work in the disciplines covered by the Department ' s activities ; - organizing and supervising the teaching activities of the Department ; - management of the Department ' s property and allocated funds , subject to separate regulations ; - submitting an annual report on the activities of the Department to the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz . In addition, the performance of duties under Article 115 of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science ( Journal of Laws of 2018 , item 1668 , as amended ), including : - conducting teaching activities – educating and educating students or participating in the education of doctoral students ; 2 ) research activity – conducting scientific activity or participating in the education of doctoral students, 3) research and teaching activities – conducting scientific activities, educating and educating students or participating in the education of doctoral students.

As an academic teacher, he participated in organizational work for the university and constantly improved professional competences.
