Macroeconomist and econometrician, ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Builder of macromodels of the Polish economy used for forecasting and policy analyses. Over two decades worked with Lawrence R.Klein, Nobel Prize winner, with whom published the mnograph Principles of Macroeconometric Modeling (North-Holland). The author of many articles in the field of theory of econometrics, applied econometrics and time series analyses. The founder and chief editor of Central European Journal of Economic Modelling and Econometrics. Menages the Chair of Econometric Models and Forecasts, University of Lodz. Since many years works also at Warsaw School of Economics.
