Scientific work: electrophysiological studies of the central nervous system of rodents - mechanisms of neuronal synchrony primarily focused on theta rhythm in the hippocampus and posterior hypothalamus.
Scientific techniques/methods:
Local field potentials and extracellular recordings of single cell discharges using in vitro brain slices.
Chronic behavioral experiments with freely moving animals implanted with multielectrodes in the brain.
Teaching: human and animal physiology classes (in both Polish and English) with biology, criminal biology, microbiology and psychology students during various courses. Bachelors' and Masters' theses supervision and review.
