Irmina Szubert obtained her MA in Spanish Philology and Philological American Studies from the University of Lodz, and then took her PhD degree with honours from the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2011, as an exchange student, she studied Spanish Philology at the University of Seville. She completed two research internships: Visiting Lecturer and Researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid (2016), and Postgraduate Researcher at King’s College London (2018). In 2022, she participated in the professional development programme, Masters of Didactics, conducted at the Institute of Education, University College London.

Irmina Szubert teaches modules on areas from Contemporary Spanish and Latin American Literatures, and Hispanic Literary Studies, to Spanish Language, Culture and Civilisation, Translation Theory, Comparative Literature, BA Research Seminar in Literary and Cultural Studies, and MA Proseminar in Spanish Literary Studies (Women’s Literary Studies).
