Mgr Izabela Grabarczyk is a doctoral student and a research-didactic assistant in the Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics. She defended her master's thesis titled Polish Migrant Community in Ireland: Acquisition of Irish English Pronunciation Features in 2016. She is currently working on a doctoral thesis that focuses on the aspects of integration and the adoption of Irish English pronunciation features among the Polish migrant populace of Ireland. Mgr Grabarczyk is also actively involved in an interdisciplinary research project Theatrical Legacy of Polish Migrants: An Interdisciplinary Study of Polish Culture Abroad.
Teaching experience: descriptive grammar (phonetics and phonology), practical phonetics, prosody and discourse, integrated skills - vocabulary and speaking

Phonetics and phonology of the English language, dialects and accents of the English language, sociolinguistics, use of the English language in a migration context, language identity.
