I am a sociologist and executive editor of the Przegląd Socjologii Jakościowej. I have been a member of the Board of the Section of Qualitative Sociology and Symbolic Interactionism of the Polish Sociological Association since 2022.
My research interests include the sociology of work, sex work, issues of social stigmatization, and the ethics of sociological research. I rely on qualitative research methods, grounded theory methodology, and ethnography.
I was awarded a fellowship for outstanding young scientists with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education from 2018 to 2021. My doctoral dissertation, entitled “Sytuacja pracy kobiet świadczących usługi seksualne w agencji towarzyskiej. Studium z perspektywy socjologii interakcjonistycznej” won a distinction in the 16th edition of the competition organized by the Institute of Labor and Social Studies under the auspices of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy for the best master's theses and doctoral dissertations in the field of labor issues and social policy. The monograph prepared in its wake, entitled “Praca kobiet świadczących usługi seksualne w agencjach towarzyskich” received the following honours: “Anthropological Research of the Year 2016” awarded by the Social Anthropology Section of the Polish Sociological Association, the prize of the Rector of the University of Lodz as well as the EGOS Book Award 2017 from the European Group for Organizational Studies for the best book in the field of organization studies in 2017.
In the years 2020-2022, I pursued research as part of a project entitled "Stigma Experienced by Sex Workers", which was funded by the Polish National Science Center (NCN) as part of its Miniatura 2 competition. I am currently investigating the stigma experienced by female sex workers in various interactional contexts. I have also received #EkSoc Grant - 2025 for a ongoing project entitled “Police Officers Approach to Sex Work”.
