Research area: sixteenth- and seventeenth centuries French literature; work with texts written in moyen français (Middle French), as well as using source texts written in Latin, Italian and Spanish, analysis of ancient and Italian influences on French Renaissance literature.
Teaching the history of French literature (lectures, classes, proseminar), culture of the French-speaking area, practical French (all language competences); coordinating practical French language classes for selected groups.

Short stories in sixteenth and seventeenth-century France (especially bloody tales, tragic stories, epitomes of tragic stories, miraculous stories, pious stories, diabolical stories, canards, discours bigarré), cosmographies, humanist tragedy, rewriting, echoes of religious wars in literature, theory and practice of exemplary discourse, humanistic rhetorical patterns, reception of Antiquity in humanistic thought, history of printing.
