I work at the Department of English Studies in Drama, Theatre and Film, and I specialise in Renaissance drama, especially Shakespeare, and the relationships between literature and contemporary popular media in the context of cultural studies. My main areas of interest include feminism, gender studies and queer theory, as well as posthumanism, cultural materialism and new materialism. I use those theoretical contexts to research the intersections of literature and media. I am the author of Screening Gender in Shakespeare’s Comedies (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019).
