• coordinating tasks related to recruitment, course of studies, quality of education, distance learning, postgraduate studies and other forms of education; 
• preparing drafts of legal acts, reviewing and interpreting drafts and applicable regulations related to recruitment and education;
  
• coordinating activities related to the proper functioning of the recruitment system, planning and coordinating the recruitment process at the University of Lodz;
• providing substantive support to faculties in designing and developing study programmes;
• participating in meetings of the University Council for the Quality of Education and, in an advisory capacity, the Committee for Study Regulations;
• coordinating the work of the Teaching Excellence Team supporting Academic Teachers in improving their teaching competences.
  

The tasks of the Rector's Representative of the University of Lodz include in particular:

• preparing UŁ employees to apply the Standards for the Protection of Minors (hereinafter: "SOM") and providing current information in case of difficulties related to the protection of minors;
• monitoring the implementation and compliance with the SOM, including conducting a survey at least once every 2 years to monitor the level of implementation of the SOM and preparing a report for the Rector;
• maintaining a register of notifications and proposals for changes to the SOM;
• responding to signals of violations of the SOM;
• undertaking interventions in accordance with the procedures specified in Chapter V of the SOM, including convening an intervention team in cases specified in the SOM;
• maintaining a Register of events threatening the welfare of minor;
• conducting reviewing and updating of the SOM in accordance with the revealed factual and legal needs.
