Michał Krakowiak (born September 19, 1979 in Łódź). Associate professor at the Department of Civil Procedure I. Judge of the District Court in Łódź, judge adjudicating in civil and family cases in the second instance and judge adjudicating at the Court of Appeal in Łódź as part of a delegation. In 2003, he completed law studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź, and then doctoral studies. Since 2003, assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure I. In 2003-2006, he completed judicial training at the District Court in Łódź, ending with a judge's exam with a score of 5+. In 2007-2009, court assessor and then judge. In 2009, he obtained a doctorate in law based on the dissertation entitled "Execution by compulsory management" (C.H.Becka Publishing House, Warsaw 2011). In the years 2010-2012 a judge delegated to the Supreme Court, Civil Chamber to perform the function of an assistant to a judge of the Supreme Court. In 2018 he obtained a postdoctoral degree based on the book entitled "The compulsory sum in Polish civil proceedings" (C.H.Beck Publishing House, Warsaw 2017). Since 2019 a university professor. Author of over 60 publications in the field of civil procedure, including Polish and foreign judicial enforcement proceedings. Author of two monographs and co-author of two Commentaries on the Code of Civil Procedure and the Civil Procedure System. Multiple recipient of awards from the Rector of the University of Lodz. In the term of office 2025-2028 he serves as the Disciplinary Spokesman for Academic Teachers at the University of Lodz. Participant of national and international scientific conferences. Lecturer at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw and the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. Member of Scientific Councils and reviewer in scientific journals.
