Monika Bolek, Ph.D., associate professor at University of Lodz is the head of the Department of Corporate Finance and the Dean's plenipotentiary for studies Financial Market - Investment Advisory, conducted under the supervision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. She deals with the issues of financial liquidity, operational efficiency and growth of enterprises on the capital market. In addition, she is interested in tax evasion, forex market, innovations, behavioral finance and the process of peer reviewing scientific papers. She conducts classes and seminars on corporate finance, capital market and international finance for both full-time and Erasmus students. Master's theses under her supervision were awarded in the "Golden Pens" competition. She is the author or co-author of about 90 publications, including two monographs. She is a supervisor of teams in the CFA Research Challenge and CFA Ethics Challenge and Faculty Advisor competitions. She is also a court expert in the field of finance and economics at the District Court in Łódź and an expert of the Polish Craft Association in the field of economics. She cooperates with the European Scientific Institute as a member of the Scientific Council, supervisor of postdoc groups and reviewer. She is the editor in the area of corporate finance on the capital market in the Journal of Finance and Financial Law. In the past, she was the deputy director of the Technology Accelerator at the University of Lodz, operating in cooperation with the Austin State University, Texas (USA). where she completed an internship in 2003. For many years she cooperated with the PAM Center (Polish-American Management Center) operating at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz, conducting and supervising courses in project management.
Interests in the area of conducted research are related to the growth and assessment of the condition of enterprises, as well as their growth potential on the capital market.

The Dean’s Representative for the Financial Market – Investment Advisory Program is an academic-administrative role responsible for supervising and coordinating the study program conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Łódź in cooperation with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). The individual in this position ensures the quality of education, fosters collaboration with the financial sector, and aligns the study program with current capital market requirements and regulatory standards.
