He graduated from the University of Lodz with a degree in econometrics and statistics and from the Summer School of Actuarial Science at the University of Warsaw.
He has been professionally involved in the financial and insurance market for more than 20 years. Among other things, he worked at TUnŻ Nationale-Nederlanden as an actuary, managed the insurance group, and between 1998 and 2000 was a member of the management board responsible for finance and administration. He also worked in the international structures of ING Americas and Australia, being responsible for the financial consolidation.
From 2004 to 2005, he managed the Services Division at ING Bank. From 2006 – when he returned to the insurance division of ING – he was a Director of the Product Management Department and then
a Regional Product Engineer for Central and Eastern Europe. The next step in Krzysztof Szypuła's career was at Money Makers, where he held the position of Vice President.
From 2012 to 2013, he managed the personal and health insurance units at Allianz, and from 2013 he was a deputy director of Prudential's Polish branch responsible for product portfolio management and sales network training. He also served as a member of the management board of Prudential Polska Sp. z o.o.
Since 2018, he has been a Managing Director of Product Strategy at PZU.
