Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. Graduated with honours in Postgraduate European Studies at the European Institute in Łódź, receiving the title of European Funds Specialist. He was an academic teacher and head of the European projects department at one of the universities in Łódź.
In 2007-2008, he was deputy director of the Regional Operational Programme Department at the Marshal's Office in Łódź. In the previous local government term, he was a Councillor of the Łódź City Council. From February 2010, he was Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź.
He began his political activity in 1999 by joining the Young Democrats Association. He has been a member of the Civic Platform since its establishment. He served as President of the Regional Peer Court of the SMD, was Treasurer of the Łódź Region of the SMD, a member of the association's national board and, finally, President of the Łódź Region of the SMD. He also cooperated, on behalf of the PO, with the Extraordinary Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland for changes in codifications.
