Roberta di Mario began her music studies at the age of five. Her education was crowned by her graduation with distinction from the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito di Parma. Today, Di Mario is a Steinway artist and serves as an artistic director of several important music and cultural festivals, such as "WE – Women Equality" and "Il Verde e il Blu". Socially engaged, she actively works for gender equality in music. She is one of the few Italian pianists and composers with an international reputation – a music populariser, a visionary, an artist with a broad creative horizon. In addition to her concert and composition activities, she is also involved in other fields of art – she works for radio and television, creates music for theatre and film.
The artist's work includes piano pieces, chamber music, as well as compositions for theatre, art, television, cinema and advertising. She feels comfortable in various genres – jazz, swing, pop, contemporary music and ambient.
Her fifth album, which premiered on 1 September 2024 during the Bari Piano Festival, is entitled "Ala | elegy in three acts" and is a tribute to the piano, a message of peace and artistic purity. Compositions by J. S. Bach and F. Chopin intertwine with the pianist's premiere pieces.
