Women Together is a nationwide initiative of ABSL Poland, which has already been successfully operating in Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań and the Tri-City. Its goal is to consolidate professionals from the business services sector and create a platform that facilitates networking and professional development. The next step in the natural development of the initiative is Lodz – a city where the ABSL Poland Chapter, led by Agnieszka Belowska-Gosławska, Vice President of Technology at ABSL Poland, is thriving.
The University of Lodz, as a space for dialogue and social co-responsibility, actively participates in this initiative, underlining the importance of equality, inclusiveness and intersectoral cooperation.
From threads to triumph: Celebrating generations of women in Łódź
The meeting will bring together representatives of the world of science, business and local government. It will be an opportunity to exchange thoughts on the role of women in the history and present of the city – from textile workers to leaders of digital transformation. "From threads to triumph: Celebrating generations of women in Łódź" is the motto of the event, which will be honoured with the presence of the Mayor of the City of Lodz – Hanna Zdanowska.
Key discussion topics will include:
- Work-life integration: coping with different aspects of life
- Gender differences and women's rights: past and present
- Defining success: what does success really mean and how can we define it for ourselves?
- Hard-working women from Lodz: connections between the city's textile workers and today's female managers
The event is not only a celebration of the past, but also an impulse to further strengthen the presence of women in the academic and public life of the city. We are united by common values, but not only that! The Vice President of ABSL Poland for Technology – Agnieszka Belowska-Gosławska is a VIP graduate and mentor of the University of Lodz. The event will also feature representatives of the University of Lodz, leaders and researchers in various professions.
