I am an Assistant Professor at the Institute of English Studies, University of Łódź. I started my academic career in 2005 following work at the Teacher’s Training College in Kalisz between 1992 and 2005. I hold a PhD and Habilitation in Linguistics. My research interests focus on speech, discourse analysis, grammar and narratives, mainly from the point of view of Cognitive Linguistics. I have applied experimental methodology coupled with qualitative analyses to the study of the processes of construal and coding of events and narratives.
