Scientific responsibilities:
1. conducting scientific research,
2. publishing research results in scientific journals,
3. actively participating in scientific conferences,
4. applying for research grants and scientific internships,
5. participating in the implementation of research grants (manager of a grant financed by the National Science Centre on “In search of a legal model of self-employment in Poland. A comparative legal analysis” (amount of funds awarded: PLN 202,440).
6. reviewing scientific papers.
Teaching responsibilities:
1. reliable teaching of classes,
2. improvement of teaching methods and methods of verifying learning outcomes,
3. conducting exams and assessments,
4. supervising master's and diploma theses in accordance with the field and specialization of study and own competences, and checking these theses in the anti-plagiarism system,
5. reviewing diploma theses,
6. participating in committees conducting master's and diploma examinations,
7. performing teaching duties (consultations) in accordance with the schedule presented at the beginning of the semester,
8. educating young academic staff.
Organizational responsibilities:
1. participating in the Faculty Council and the Academic Degrees Committee,
2. participating in faculty and university committees,
3. participating in the organization of conferences, symposia, and workshops,
4. acting as the head of the Center for Unusual Employment Relationships and Postgraduate Studies,
5. activities aimed at promoting the Faculty,
6. establishing cooperation with representatives of external institutions related to labor law.
The Center for Atypical Employment Relationships was established on the basis of Order No. 15 of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź of July 3, 2017, and has been operating since September 1, 2017.
The Centre's task is to conduct scientific and research activities as well as teaching and training activities devoted to various aspects of atypical employment relationships, which have recently become an increasingly widespread form of professional activity on the labor market. This gives rise to many problems of both a theoretical and legal nature, as well as practical ones, which are the subject of the activities of the Center for Atypical Employment Relationships.
The objectives of the Center include:
1. conducting scientific research on the legal problems of atypical employment relationships;
2. undertaking research on the practical significance of atypical employment relationships;
3. conducting research on the effectiveness of legal regulations in the field of atypical employment relationships;
4. designing legislative solutions in the field of atypical employment relationships and issuing opinions on draft legislation concerning this issue;
5. preparing and implementing scientific grants in the field of atypical employment relationships;
6. organizing debates, seminars, and scientific conferences;
preparing scientific publications resulting from scientific and research activities;
7. providing legal assistance to various public institutions and private entities in solving legal problems arising from the practical application of atypical employment relationships;
8. cooperating with public institutions and private entities active in the field of atypical employment relationships;
9. preparing legal opinions and expert reports related to legal and practical problems of the functioning of atypical employment relationships;
conducting training and further education courses.
The postgraduate studies “Human Resources with elements of labor law” are addressed to people who want to gain knowledge, skills, and competences in the field of Human Resources Management (in areas such as: the role of the HR department in an organization, the recruitment process, Assessment Center, remuneration systems, competence management, employee evaluation systems, employee development management, coaching and mentoring processes, relationship psychology, stress and emotion control, effective staff motivation), as well as in the field of labor law (in areas such as: conclusion and termination of contractual employment relationships, basic rights and obligations and responsibilities of the parties to the employment relationship, flexible forms of employment). The studies are primarily aimed at managers and human resource management practitioners, as well as current and future HR specialists. In particular, this includes: employees of HR and payroll departments and human resource management departments, consultants, and career advisors. In addition, these studies may also be of interest to people interested in issues such as: conducting recruitment processes, the Assessment Center and Development Center methods, competence management, employee evaluation and development system management, and the role of the human resources department and aspects of labor law.
The main objective of the Postgraduate Studies in Human Resources with Elements of Labor Law is the professional development of human resources managers and practitioners, as well as human resources specialists (supported by workshops and management skills training), while for other students, it is to deepen their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of human resources management and labor law. The participation of lecturers with extensive practical experience in the field of human resources management and labor law enables students to acquire skills and competencies in the area of best HR practices. The program is designed to prepare participants in the area of building a modern human resources policy. The program is implemented through lectures and interactive seminars.
